Why I'm a nanny

It's always been my dream job. No joke. I have always wanted to work with children so when I was younger I had always figured I'd be a teacher. Then my mom got a job as a nanny and opened my eyes to this fabulous career. I must have been somewhere around 11 years old. Anyway, I got my first part-time job as an assistant teacher at a before and after school program (Champions) when I was about 14 and then started working full -time when I was 15. I moved on to work at a preschool (La Mesa Presbyterian Preschool) as an aid then as a teacher (I also worked for Kindercare for a short time, and I personally do not like their program). I also started attending Child Development classes at Grossmont Community College during this time. Then at 18 I got my dream job! I became a nanny for twin toddlers, we'll call them H and B. They were just about 18 months when I started and I was with them for about a year. The mom worked from home but was good about it...its not easy working with children when their parents are always around. We'll discuss more about those pros and cons later...
